The 2010 NFL Draft

by Ronald A. Rowe April 26th, 2010 | Football, NFL
Did you watch the draft this weekend? Chances are, if you are an NFL fan, you caught at least a few hours of the live coverage spread over Thursday, Friday, and Saturday on ESPN (or ESPN2).

When I think of the amount of time spent predicting who teams will pick, watching them pick, and then discussing who they picked, I see an amazing testament to just how much we miss football during the off season.  No other sport can garner so much attention for the picking of college players.  The draft has upstaged the start of baseball season, the NHL

The one sports question I've been asked more than any other in the last couple of weeks is: why would the Eagles trade Donovan McNabb to the Redksins?  (Actually, the question usually was phrased a little differently, included curse words, and referred to the Eagle's ownership as either 'morons', 'idiots', or both).

The Final Four- The Results Version

by Ronald A. Rowe April 5th, 2010 | Basketball, NCAA
Duke beat WVU to advance to the finals of the NCAA Tournament. No big surprise there. In fact, based on the way the tourney has gone so far, the only surprising thing about that game is that it was so utterly unsurprising.  #1 Duke beating #2 WVU is something that appeared on a lot of brackets, including mine.  The only mildly surprising thing other than the aforementioned surprising lack of surprise is how handily Duke blew past WVU in the second half.

The other game appeared on roughly 0.1% of all brackets, which is roughly the amount that were filled out this weekend.  #5 Butler beating #5 Michigan
