Flops, Fails, and Fantastic Finishes

This was a weekend as notable for flops as it was fantastic. For every dark horse win and triumphant moment there was an epic fail to balance it out. The biggest of the big:

On the day that marked Dale Earnhardt, Jr.’s 100th consecutive loss in NASCAR, Matt Kenseth snapped an only slightly shorter streak of 76 races. Kenseth lead for half the race at Texas Motor Speedway and pushed the other half, taking the checkered flag for the first time since February of 2009.

The Thing That Makes Golf Special

I watched a good chunk of the Masters for the simple reason that I am a Tiger fan and I watch him play any time I can.

But something happened on Friday that demonstrates why golf is different from every other sport. On Friday, amateur Michael Thompson was lining up a putt on the 15th green. Tiger at the Masters

The Masters tees off today, and, as always, every eye is on Tiger Woods. I am going to dispense with the talk about whether he is the greatest golfer of all time or not (BTW, I think he is). The question at hand in this posting is : How many Masters championships will Tiger win in his career?

Right now he has 4. Jack Nicklaus has 6. How many more does Tiger have in him? My opinion is 4 more for a total of 8. What do you think?
