Ultimate Fighting Championship Season Finale

by Joe Lawrence December 7th, 2009 | Martial Arts, MMA
A season that I have criticized over and over again for boring fights really has turned that around in the past few weeks.  The season finale is no exception to this rule.  Spike TV aired the TUF finisher for free.  The fans got to experience why PPV viewers pay big bucks.

The first fight was between Marcus "Big Baby" Jones and Matt Mitrione.  I was hoping for Jones to railroad him in the first round, and he did have the first round won.  Then Mitrione came out in the second round and caught Marcus with two solid punches to the jaw.

The Ultimate Fighter Season 10

by Joe Lawrence October 9th, 2009 | Martial Arts, MMA
The fall season has kicked off with many premiers.  The one I was looking forward to the most was the new season of the Ultimate Fighter.  A favorite fighter of mine is coaching, and there is a certain big name fighter making his UFC debut.

Season 10 is featuring heavy weight fighters, which usually are large cumbersome fighters who bloody up the mat.  The fighters on this season have not impressed me at all.  All three fights have been boring, and none are really even worth talking about.  However, I will give you a very brief breakdown anyway.

In the first fight
