MMA – Largest Sport in the World?
The book of Revelations prophesies about the end of the world and how it will come about. Nostradamus predicted Hitler and Napoleon. Today, Joe Lawrence is predicting that MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) will become the biggest sport in the world.
MMA currently is leveraging itself to be the largest sport in the world. Soccer, football, baseball, basketball, tennis, racing, rugby, etc., are all great sports. However, not every person on every continent can play each of these sports. All six billion people on this planet understand fighting, and the learning curve is minuscule.
Most of the sports named above require expensive equipment, large groups of people to form teams, large playing fields, etc. Boxing and MMA only require two people with a desire to fight and can be done anywhere. These prerequisites are available anywhere on the planet. There are many fight clubs throughout the world where people hone and practice their fighting skills.
Fortunately, there are governing bodies to regulate MMA and add some layers of safety. Organizations like the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) and WEC (World Extreme Cage-fighting) are two of the largest. They already have made the sport bigger than boxing. Why? Boxing is a North American sport in origin. MMA utilizes martial arts from all around the world. Most nations practice martial arts of some type and have tournaments to display their skills. There are currently fighters from many nations that compete in these organizations.
The leaders of the UFC have taken advantage of this and already are working deals with all the major countries on the planet. To give you an example, India is in the works, and the target market viewer is a male between 17 and 34. More than 300,000,000 Indians fit this niche. That is the population of the entire US! Can you imagine China? The possibilities are endless.
Ten years from now, MMA will be everywhere, and my prediction will become fact. If you want to be one of the millions of viewers flocking to view these fights, be sure to tune in to the next one. You won’t be sorry.

I love MMA. I catch every event I possibly can. That said, I don’t think that mixed martial arts will ever be the largest sport in the world. I don’t think it will ever have a chance to pass soccer in terms of how many fans rabidly follow it.
