One Punch Knockout!
I was unable to go to a single MMA website this week without hearing about Chuck Liddell getting knocked out. All those that watched UFC 88 sat in great anticipation for an exciting fight. What followed was anything but. Rashad Evans versus Chuck Liddell ended in the second round with an overhand right punch to knockout Liddell.
Everyone was expecting Chuck Liddell to win, and he actually was winning the fight up to that point. However, one punch changed it all. That is what makes MMA so exciting. It does not matter how a fight is going, at any second the tide can turn.
How can someone get knocked out with one punch? This answer is just like the secret to real estate investing-location, location, location. The most common place to target is the opponent’s jaw line. When a solid punch connects it actually rattles the brain and forces it to slam around in the skull. Essentially, a knockout is a concussion.
Now for the instructions on how to throw a powerful punch. All power in martial arts comes from your core (midsection). The stomach, hips and back are your center of gravity, and once you get them in motion power is sure to follow. For starters, a solid strike starts with the feet. By pivoting on the balls of your feet you will notice that your hips will twist.
With that knowledge alone, you will be a hula hoop’s worst nightmare, but hang on, we are not done. If you want to punch with your right hand, you will need your right hip to twist to the front. As your hips are in motion, your shoulder will then come forward. If you allow your arm to be pushed with this momentum, your hand will become like the end of a whip.
The trick is timing. Just putting together this sequence will not get you a victory over Chuck Liddell. It takes lots of practice to make all those movements come together effectively. The next time you see a knockout, follow it from the ground up.

Iceman was here in the Philippines….no matter what happened in his last fight, we still love him… lol..
