This week’s MLB Power Pack saw some movement as the season moved from the early portion to things that look like real trends. The 5 best teams in the MLB, as determined by me, follows:
Week 2 – 4/19/08:
5. Chicago White Sox – They are starting to have the look they had a few years ago when they won it all.
4. Boston Red Sox – The good news is that Ortiz is finally batting over .100. Their pitching has been average, and that was their strength last year at this point.
3. St. Louis Cardinals – Larussa has the entire team energized, and Ankiel may have the oddest background of any power hitter since Babe Ruth.
2. Los Angeles Angels – This team has all of the parts to be a great team.
1. Arizona Diamondbacks - The hottest team in baseball. Solid pitching and great defense. Plus, the Big Unit has returned.
